Gregoire leaving Concordia women's hockey program

MOORHEAD—Concordia women's hockey coach Jason Gregoire announced his resignation in order to become the hockey director for the West Fargo youth hockey program.

"We are sad to see Jason leave the program," said Concordia interim Athletic Director Rachel Bergeson. "He has continued to grow the women's hockey program during his four seasons as head coach and he has been a tremendous mentor for our student/athletes.

Gregoire took over as Concordia head coach for the 2015 season and helped the Cobbers reach the playoffs in four consecutive seasons. Gregoire won at least nine games in all four seasons and finished with a 47-46-12 overall record. Gregoire got the Cobbers to the MIAC semifinals in three of the four seasons he was behind the bench for the Cobbers.

Bergeson said a search for Gregoire's replacement will begin immediately.
