Former Cobbers standout Freudenberg named assistant women's basketball coach at South Dakota

VERMILLION, S.D.—South Dakota head women's basketball coach Dawn Plitzuweit announced Friday that Minnesota-Duluth assistant coach Jenna Freudenberg has been named an assistant coach for the Coyotes.

Freudenberg is a former standout point guard for the Concordia Cobbers. She played for the Cobbers from 2005-2009 and finished her career with 1,126 points and 350 assists.

Freudenberg spent the past nine seasons as an assistant for UMD head coach Mandy Pearson with three years in Duluth, and six seasons at St. Mary's in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Pearson is also a former Concordia point guard.
