RedHawks lose at Gary, taking a hit to their playoff chances

GARY, Ind.—The Gary SouthShore RailCats scored two runs in both the sixth and seventh innings to rally for a 4-2 victory against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks on Saturday in American Association baseball at U.S. Steel Yard.

Tillman Pugh went 2-for-3 and scored two runs to lead the RailCats.

The RedHawks (48-43) are 4 1/2 games behind Gary (53-39) for the second and final playoff spot in the North Division. F-M has lost five of its past six games and has nine games remaining in the regular season.

Brennan Metzger belted a solo home run to lead the RedHawks. Leo Pina went 3-for-4.
