RedHawks fall out of first place in loss to Wichita

WICHITA, Kan.—Wichita collected 15 hits in the Wingnuts 8-3 win over the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks on Tuesday in American Association baseball at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

Devan Ahart hit his sixth homer of the year and Chris Jacobs hit his third for the RedHawks. Tim Colwell had three hits and added his 13th stolen base of the year, while Keury De La Cruz drove in a run.

Trey McNutt (2-5) gave up eight earned runs on 12 hits with three strikeouts through four innings to pick up the loss.

The RedHawks (26-23) are now half a game out of first place in the North Division.
