Letter: Please consider becoming an organ donor
We recently moved to Fargo. We made the move to be closer to family and to also be closer to medical facilities. A couple of years ago, I was diagnosed with kidney disease. The disease has gotten worse, and now I have stage 4 kidney disease.
I would like to state that the doctors and nurses I have and the care I have received from Sanford Health have been just great. My three primary kidney doctors—Dr. Chemiti, Dr. Phadke and Dr. Mistry—have been both very knowledgeable, friendly and caring. They are outstanding.
My kidney disease has progressed so far that I am now on home dialysis. The staff at the Sanford Dialysis Center has been great as well. I would like to thank Karen, Lois and Charlie for their assistance.
A few months ago I went through all of the tests and was approved to be put on the kidney transplant list. The staff at the Sanford Transplant Center, headed by Sheryl, has been super.
I am, as well as many other people are, in need of a kidney transplant. If anyone would see fit to become a possible donor, please give the transplant center a call at (701) 234-6715.
You would be giving someone the gift of life. Thank you, and God bless.
