Investigation of Harwood party bus stabbing yields potential suspect or suspects
HARWOOD, N.D. — The Cass County Sheriff’s Office has identified a possible suspect or suspects in a stabbing that reportedly happened about 11:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Harwood Grill and Saloon.
An investigation revealed that the stabbing occurred during a fight at the bar. Witnesses told investigators a gunshot was possibly fired, though no gunshot wounds were reported, the sheriff’s office said Thursday, Sept. 13, in a news release.
The investigation found that shortly after a party bus arrived at the bar late Saturday, a fight took place at the front of the bus as patrons were trying to leave the bar, the sheriff’s office said.
The victim who was stabbed suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, and was treated at the scene, the sheriff’s office said.
Interviews with witnesses led to a potential suspect and/or suspects being identified. The Metro Street Crimes Unit is helping with the ongoing investigation, the sheriff’s office said.
