FARGO — A  $5,000 grant from the Alex Stern Family Foundation will help support the Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre’s Apprentice Program, the organization announced Friday afternoon.

“This is a huge win for us,” says Adam Pankow, artistic director of FMCT. “It allows us to do a lot of things we weren’t able to do before.”

The theater currently has three apprentices focusing on technical, education and marketing and development work.

Apprentices are in their first stages of a profession in the theater and help in day-to-day as well as production aspects of the 72-year-old theater, the longest running community theater in the Red River Valley.

The Alex Stern Family Foundation supports the arts, social welfare/human services, education, youth recreation, civic projects, and health issues for the benefit of the greater Fargo-Moorhead area.
